Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II PRN at Wellstar in White Plains, NY. Provide respiratory care in complex, critical settings with ventilator management, airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care), aerosolized meds, ABG sampling/analysis, and therapy planning. Responsible for patient care delivery, education of patients and families, coordination with the care team, and mentoring/precepting new staff and students. Requires strong critical thinking, communication, and computer skills; involves teaching and participating in professional development and quality initiatives in a primarily critical care environment.
Required Qualifications
- NBRC-RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- RCP (Respiratory Care Professional)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or ACLS-I
- 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months critical care
