Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist II will assume primary responsibility for patient care including examination, evaluation, treatment planning, and administration of Respiratory Care procedures per physician's orders. This role involves assessing patient conditions, developing respiratory care plans, and making recommendations to physicians, while serving as a role model for others in the healthcare team. Responsibilities also include facilitating patient and family education, participating in departmental activities for skill enhancement, and applying findings from clinical research to improve patient care. The position requires the ability to work off-shifts and weekends on an on-call basis.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required in Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Science
- Respiratory Therapist License
- Registration as Reg Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support Certificate
- 0-1 years related work experience
- Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications
