Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II (NICU) at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital — Night shift full-time position delivering complex respiratory care in the ICU/NICU with ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, therapy administration, education for patients and staff, and collaboration with physicians. Requires an accredited RT program completion, AS degree (Bachelor's preferred), and 0-2 years of clinical experience with critical care. Certifications include RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and related instructor certifications. Responsible for patient care, ventilator weaning, airway management, and participation in quality improvement and education activities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
