Respiratory Therapist I

Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to patient age and population needs. In the absence of a supervisor, act as Lead RCP with responsibility for the section or department during your shift. Maintain current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) licenses, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Requires two years of acute care experience, an associate or bachelor's degree preferred, and availability for night shifts at Lake Huron Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of acute care experience
