Job Summary
Perform evaluations and provide high-level care for patients with complex respiratory insufficiencies. Analyze patient needs to determine treatment types and frequencies, then implement and monitor respiratory equipment and advanced care modalities. Educate patients and families on conditions, community resources, and long-term support programs while providing intervention during code situations and life-critical events. This full-time day role at Ascension Via Christi Home Medical includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
