Job Summary
In-home respiratory care role: provides in-home respiratory assessments, treatment, and follow-up for patients with COPD, asthma, CHF, ventilator or tracheostomy needs; educate patients and caregivers on equipment operation and preventive care; coordinate care with nurses, physicians, case managers, and family to support transitions from hospital to home; monitor patient progress, document per standards, and support physician-directed plans; requires regular travel to patient homes and independent fieldwork with team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
- BLS certification required
- Must hold and maintain all licenses, certifications, and registrations required by the state
- Previous experience in home health, subacute care, pulmonary rehabilitation, or related settings preferred
- Understanding of insurance requirements including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
- Ability to supervise clinical personnel as needed
- Comfortable working independently in a remote field-based environment while maintaining strong collaboration with the care team
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills
