Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to patient age and population needs. Operate under the direction of the medical director, cardiopulmonary director, or manager, with potential assignment as a Lead RCP to oversee the section or department during your shift. Maintain current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure, RRT certification, and active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program credentials. This part-time day shift role at Olympia Fields Hospital offers a sign-on bonus of $7,500 and includes a competitive pay range of $37.00 to $49.80.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Part Time < 60
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred
