Job Summary
Night shift Respiratory Therapist for an Acute Care / Academic Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Provide high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced hospital setting, working independently during overnight hours with EMS/ER responsiveness. Full-time contract position (13 weeks) with 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). Requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, NY State Respiratory Therapist license, and RRT or CRT credential; BLS (ACLS & PALS preferred). Minimum 2 years post-licensure experience; experience with ventilator/oxygen therapies and EMR systems. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Licensure: Active NY State Respiratory Therapist License
- Certification: RRT or CRT credential required; BLS certification (ACLS & PALS preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure respiratory therapy experience
- Hospital/Acute Care experience strongly preferred
- Pediatric respiratory care highly preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in respiratory care equipment & EMR systems
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with medical teams
