Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for nursing staff. Deliver respiratory care using appropriate devices while adhering to physical demands including pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. This GIG/Flex/PRN role offers $35/hr for RRTs or $30/hr for CRTs with variable shift incentives. No weekend, holiday, or shift requirements apply; candidates may pick up day or night shifts in 4, 8, or 12-hour blocks. Requires current RCP licensure, RRT or CRT credential, and one year of experience. Preferred critical care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to pick up day OR night shift
