Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource person for medical and nursing staff on respiratory issues. Execute assigned duties using appropriate respiratory care devices. This role offers flexible day or night shifts with no weekend, holiday, or specific hour requirements. Base pay is $35/hour for RRTs or $30/hour for CRTs, plus variable shift incentives. Candidates must hold an RRT or CRT credential, a current state license, and one year of experience. Preferred critical care experience is valued.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to pick up day OR night shift
