Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource person for nursing on respiratory care. Execute assigned duties using appropriate respiratory care devices. This RRT or CRT GIG position offers $35/hr for RRTs or $30/hr for CRTs plus variable shift incentives. Flexible day or night shifts are available in 4, 8, or 12-hour blocks with no weekend or holiday requirements. Candidates must hold a current RCP license, RRT or CRT credential, and ACLS certification. One year of experience is required, with critical care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
