Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing. Manage assigned duties utilizing appropriate respiratory care devices while maintaining ACLS certification and state licensure. This GIG/Flex/PRN role offers $35/hr for RRT or $30/hr for CRT with variable shift incentives, featuring 4, 8, or 12-hour day or night shifts with no weekend or holiday requirements. Located in the East Region, this position supports Mercy's mission of compassionate healing through innovative procedures and collaborative team growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Pinch up to 10 lbs
- Kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to pick up day OR night shift
