Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff. Deliver comprehensive respiratory care using appropriate devices while maintaining licensure and RRT or CRT credentials. Work flexible day or night shifts in 4, 8, or 12-hour blocks with no weekend or holiday requirements. Requires one year of experience, ACLS certification, and PALS for ER roles. Base rates are $35/hr for RRT and $30/hr for CRT plus variable shift incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to pick up day OR night shift
