Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for nursing staff. Deliver care using appropriate respiratory devices while maintaining ACLS certification. This GIG/Flex/PRN role offers base rates of $35/hr for RRTs or $30/hr for CRTs with variable shift incentives. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours in day or night rotations without weekend or holiday requirements. One year of experience is required, with critical care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to pick up day OR night shift
