Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders, consult on therapy effectiveness, and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff. Perform assigned duties utilizing appropriate respiratory care devices while maintaining current RCP licensure and RRT or CRT credentials. Requires one year of post-orientation experience, ACLS certification, and ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexible scheduling available for day or night shifts in 4, 8, or 12-hour blocks with no weekend or holiday requirements, earning $35/hr for RRT or $30/hr for CRT plus variable incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to pick up day OR night shift
