Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and serving as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff. Manage respiratory care devices and perform assigned duties while maintaining current RCP licensure, RRT or CRT credentials, and ACLS certification. Work flexible day or night shifts in 4, 8, or 12-hour blocks at Mercy Hospital Rogers, Fort Smith, and Berryville, with no weekend or holiday requirements. Base pay ranges from $30 to $35 hourly plus variable shift incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl
