Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing. Manage duties as assigned using appropriate respiratory care devices, with a preference for critical care experience. This GIG/Flex/PRN role offers $30–$35/hour base rates plus variable shift incentives, with 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts available in day or night rotations. No weekend or holiday requirements apply. The position requires an RCP license, RRT or CRT credential, and ACLS certification, along with one year of post-orientation experience. Located at Mercy Hospital Rogers, Fort Smith, and Berryville, this role supports a healing ministry through compassionate, collaborative care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respirapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS is required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- ACLS is required
- Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
