Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist position with Mercy: provide direct patient respiratory care per physician orders, consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness, and serve as a respiratory care resource for physicians and nursing staff. Role includes NICU rotation on a 36-hour weekly schedule (6:30 pm–7:00 am) and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for RRTs. Requires graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current state licensure as an RCP, and NBRC-credentialed RRT; PALS may be required for ER. Night-shift responsibilities and potential for critical care experience emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- PALS required for ER staff (for some roles)
