Job Summary
Deliver competent respiratory care services to patients of all age groups by assessing, treating, and documenting care effects using accepted clinical practice guidelines. Perform and monitor moderately complex testing related to the daily function and operation of the Blood Gas Laboratory. Work cooperatively with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary staff to maintain professional standards within departmental policies and the hospital's mission. Maintain certification as a CRT or RRT and hold a current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Full-time night shift employment with BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
Required Qualifications
- CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC
- Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner program
- Previous experience in the provision of hospital Respiratory Care Services
- BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Course Certification through the American Heart Association
