Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing. Manage duties as assigned while utilizing appropriate respiratory care devices, with emergency room staff required to hold PALS certification. Maintain current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
