Job Summary
Direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders; consult physicians on the effectiveness of therapy; serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care; training on NICU rotations with 36-hour weekly schedule and Day shift; RRT credential and state licensure required; PALS for ER; ACLS preferred; heavy equipment use and physical demands included; Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- PALS certification for ER role (if assigned to ER)
- Able to perform duties with physical demands including push/pull up to 50 lbs and kneel/crouch/crawl as needed
