Job Summary
Direct patient care in respiratory care per physician orders; consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy; acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care; participates in NICU rotations; Day shift; 36 hours per week; RRT credential required; licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner; PALS for ER; ACLS preferred; Mercy benefits including medical, dental, vision; opportunities for growth within Mercy system.
Required Qualifications
- Education : Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
- Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
