Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II expected to administer respiratory care and medications, manage ventilators, perform arterial blood gas analysis, and educate patients and staff in a high-acuity ICU/critical care setting. Requires independent decision-making, collaboration with care teams, and ongoing professional development. Location: Marietta, GA at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital; shift is Night/FT with 36 hours per week, involving intensive respiratory care in critical care areas, ventilator management, airway management, and education of patients, families, students, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- computer skills including familiarity with databases
