Job Summary
Performs direct patient care and provides Respiratory Care procedures in all areas of the facility. Responsible for organizing workload to ensure therapy is completed as prescribed. Participates in RC educational activities and departmental meetings while documenting patient records timely. Responds to emergency alerts, exercises clinical judgement, evaluates patient care, and makes recommendations. Requires ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications, as well as an Associate degree in Respiratory Care.
Required Qualifications
- Zero to less than 1 year of experience in Respiratory Care
- Associate of Resp. Care from an accredited CoARC institution
- Participation in the National Board for Respiratory Care's (NBRC) Continuing Competency Program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or new graduate
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification required
