Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing. Rotate through the NICU on a rotating basis. Requires current RCP license and RRT credential; PALS required for ER co-workers. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and kneeling or crawling. Full-time 36-hour day shift with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for RRTs. Join a collaborative team at Mercy South.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
