Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing. Manage duties as assigned while rotating through the NICU on a full-time basis. Maintain current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure and hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential. Requires graduation from a CoArc approved program, state licensure, and RRT certification. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks such as kneeling and crawling.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Full Time employment availability
- 36 hours/week availability
- Day Shift availability
- Assignment to NICU on a rotating basis
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
