Job Summary
Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders and consults physicians on therapy effectiveness. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care while performing assigned duties. All part- and full-time RTs train on and are assigned to the NICU on a rotating basis. Requires current RCP license, RRT credential, and state licensure. Full-time, 36 hours/week, day shift with a $20,000 bonus for RRTs. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs. Join a caring, collaborative team at Mercy South where your voice matters.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Full Time - 36 hours/week, Day Shift
- All Part- and Full-Time RTs will train on and be assigned to the NICU on a rotating basis
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Prefer critical care experience
