Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for nursing. Rotate through the NICU on a full-time, 36-hour day shift basis. Holds current RRT credential and state licensure. Requires RCP license; PALS preferred for ER staff. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and kneeling. Eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Full Time employment (36 hours/week, Day Shift)
- Assignment to the NICU on a rotating basis
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
