Job Summary

Administer and manage all forms of respiratory care per physician orders and clinical standards while functioning as a workgroup leader and unit coordinator. Develop, evaluate, and modify patient care plans using evidence-based medicine, serving as a consultant to all hospital service lines and attending daily patient rounds. Maintain competency in invasive and non-invasive critical procedures, establish artificial airways during emergencies, and participate in Rapid Response and Resuscitation Teams. Facilitate quality improvement projects, assist in patient discharges, provide bedside education to physicians and nurses, and process clinical equipment to industry standards. Prioritize and triage care during high-acuity situations while ensuring accurate documentation and infection prevention compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
  • PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
  • NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • RCP - Respiratory Care Prof
  • Current Georgia Respiratory Care Professional
  • Minimum 2 years Critical Care
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care
  • Ability to delegate to other team members as required
  • Ability to multi-task essential
  • Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential
  • Strong detail orientation required
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures required
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing
  • Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities, self-direct, and apply independent judgment
  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Skill and ability in basic computer skills to include Word, Excel
  • Must be available for Night (United States of America)
  • FT Night
