Job Summary
Plan and carry out therapy for patients with asthma, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or COPD within the Froedtert South AACVPR Certified Program. Set up, monitor, and adjust patient care while providing therapeutic oxygen support and assisting with medication administration. Monitor cardiovascular and pulmonary function to ensure safety and measure recovery, then educate patients on condition management. Maintain documentation in written and EPIC formats and record verbal orders from licensed practitioners. Requires 0 to 3 years of experience, an associate degree in respiratory therapy, and Wisconsin licensure.
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 3 years
- Associate degree in: Respiratory Therapy
- Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend the English language
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Wisconsin
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care or eligible to sit for the registry exam
- Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Care
- Registry Credential must be completed within 12 months of hire date
