Job Summary
Manage ventilator integration, adaptive pulmonary support, and airway management in a technologically complex clinical setting while practicing top-of-scope respiratory therapy protocols. Prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based care by partnering with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes in the Emergency Department. Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care through precepting new staff and implementing clinical improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU
- PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
