Job Summary
Manage ventilator integration, adaptive pulmonary support, and airway management in a technologically complex clinical setting within the Emergency Department. Provide top-of-scope respiratory therapy practice using protocols and best practices to promote optimized patient care. Partner with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes while prioritizing patient wellness and evidence-based practice. Precept new healthcare staff and contribute to safety and quality initiatives at the point of care. Practice in an onsite, fast-paced environment with full-time night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU
- PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
