Respiratory Therapist - Day/Night/Weekend

Assess patient physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural dimensions while documenting educational needs and referring to competency validation documents. Perform respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen, mixed gas, humidity, ventilator management, bronchial hygiene, lung expansion, spirometry, EKG machines, and blood gas analysis. Maintain airway, provide oxygen and ventilation via mask or endotracheal tube, and perform closed chest cardiac massage during cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Apply therapeutic communication, interviewing techniques, problem-solving, and crisis intervention principles. Facilitate workflow efficiency by monitoring interdepartmental systems, policies, and procedures to make improvement recommendations. Review electronic medical records and physician orders throughout the shift.
