• •Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• •Must possess & maintain licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the State of Florida Department of Health and the National Board of Respiratory Care
• •Possess Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• •Possess Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
• •Possess Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS)
• •Possess Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP)
• •2 years experience as an RRT practicing in a Neonatal, Pediatric or Adult patient population
• •Validation of competencies for a Respiratory Therapist Critical Care
• •Must administer general respiratory care modalities
• •Must operate independently in all adult intensive care areas
• •Must function as a Code Captain in at least one patient population: Adult, Pediatric or Neonatal
• •Must develop and broaden assessment skills, communication skills and knowledge base within these areas
• •Must be competent to perform all duties and responsibilities of a shift lead
• •Must function as an alternate shift lead therapist
• •Must provide on call staffing for department needs
• •Must be available for weekend shifts
• •Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• •Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
• •Must be able to effectively manage the team's quarterly review cycle
