Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care across critical care and emergency settings. Responsibilities include initiating and managing IV access and assisting with IV therapies, performing arterial and venous blood gas sampling, assisting with splinting and patient positioning, chaperoning physicians during examinations, monitoring patients under conscious sedation with airway management, setting up and monitoring invasive and noninvasive ventilator support (including BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen), conducting comprehensive respiratory assessments and reassessments, identifying changes in respiratory status and escalating as needed, participating in rapid response and code events, maintaining infection control and patient safety, and performing other duties. Requires Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT), BLS HCP, NBRC RRT, and state licensure/certifications as specified; Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience; minimum 0+ years experience (ER/CC experience preferred). The role is scheduled Night shifts as PRN/Employee in Mustang Healthplex, with 7p-7a coverage and 1-2 shifts per week, and involves independent and collaborative work in high-acuity clinical environments.
