Job Summary
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen, aerosol, and airway management while managing ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems. Perform pulmonary diagnostics such as ABGs and PFTs, implement patient-specific care plans, and document all activities in the EMR. Respond to code blue and rapid response events, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. You may serve as a Lead RCP during assigned shifts in a high-acuity critical care environment. This role offers a 36-hour schedule with competitive pay, shift differentials, and a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates relocating to the Chicago Metro Area.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree
- ACLS certificate
- NRP certificate
- PALS certificate
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years experience as an RCP
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- NRP certificate preferred
