Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist-Certified providing respiratory care to patients across neonatal to geriatric populations, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support. Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, monitors and analyzes arterial blood gases, educates patients and colleagues on treatment plans, and maintains up-to-date professional certifications. Requires an Associate's Degree, active state license, CRT, BLS, NRP (NICU), and ACLS within 90 days of hire; duties may include arterial blood gas analysis, ventilation management, weaning, and adherence to policies. On-site in Jennings, LA (PRN).
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
