Job Summary
Administer nitrous oxide sedation, perform pulmonary function tests, and conduct electrocardiograms in the outpatient clinic while monitoring and adjusting patient sedation levels. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory diagnostic equipment, collaborate with providers on coordinated care, and adhere to safety and infection control standards. Support interdisciplinary department activities by attending rounds, staff meetings, and presenting education to the team. Requires CRT certification with PALS obtained within three months, reliable transportation for dual location coverage, and a 0.8 FTE schedule varying between 7am-3:30pm and 8am-4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Respiratory Care education program
- Certified through NBRC as CRT
- Registered through NBRC as RRT
- Licensed with the state of MN
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Must be able to obtain PALS certification within 12 months of hire
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
- Ability to analyze problems and formulate solutions quickly
- Must be accurate, thorough in all therapy modalities and operation of equipment
- Must be able to travel and support both St. Paul Main Campus and Phalen, St. Paul Clinic locations
