Respiratory Therapist

Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit and Emergency Department, including aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance procedures. Assess and monitor patient respiratory status, communicate changes to providers, and perform diagnostic testing such as Six-Minute Walk Studies, Pulmonary Function Testing, and outpatient sleep studies. Coordinate pulmonary rehabilitation services while educating patients and staff on disease management and inhaler techniques. Maintain respiratory equipment, document all assessments and treatments in the electronic medical record, and respond to respiratory emergencies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure services align with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
