Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive age-specific assessments and re-assessments for cardiac rehab patients, collaborating with families and providers to obtain complete medical histories. Prioritize patient care based on identified physical, psychosocial, and safety needs while implementing evidence-based interventions and treatments. Develop and revise individualized plans of care and education to achieve optimal outcomes, evaluating patient response to interventions and teaching effectiveness. Maintain active status as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Licensed Respiratory Care Provider in Indiana within one year of hire. Work part-time biweekly shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM respectively, with no weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC approved respiratory therapy education program
- Associate Degree, or equivalent education
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Will have one (1) year from date of hire to attain Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care and maintain active status
- Licensed by the Indiana State Health Professions Bureau as an active Respiratory Care Provider (RCP)
- Demonstrate competence in respiratory therapy assessment and treatment modalities
