Performs respiratory therapy general and critical care procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental policy, including initiating, monitoring, and managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation; airway management; blood gas collection and analysis; and documentation. Provides patient and family education, collaborates with healthcare team, and communicates reports to supervisors and coordinators. Adheres to infection control and quality initiatives and performs equipment disinfection between patients. Reports to a supervisor/manager and remains non-management. Requires associate degree (or diploma/equivalent) and relevant Respiratory Care credentials.
