Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies by assessing treatment needs, developing care plans, and implementing advanced respiratory modalities. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions while evaluating medication administration and treatment outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, community support groups, and available programs. Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes as part of daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted (for BLS)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted (for ALS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted (for PALS)
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
