Job Summary
Deliver respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, perform arterial blood gas and EKG analysis, and assist with airway changes per physician orders. Review and document all clinical information while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Maintain proficiency with Windows-style applications for patient data entry and retrieval.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU)
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility
