Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Vent field clinician delivers ventilator-supportive respiratory care across alternate sites, documenting and coordinating with physicians, referrals, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, updating treatment plans, ensuring accurate charting, assisting with ventilator referrals, educating patients and caregivers, performing in-services for staff, maintaining PPE and infection-control standards, and supporting home-transition processes. Must manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with care teams, and be able to travel within the service area and respond to on-call needs. Requires an associates degree in a respiratory program, active RT license, CPR certification, and at least one year of ventilator-related clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an AMA approved respiratory program
- Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch
- CPR certification
- One year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT or clinical nursing with Vent experience
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
