Respiratory Support Coordinator

Job Summary
Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients. Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, then conduct follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes. Perform routine preventative maintenance checks, troubleshoot equipment failures, and report hazards in accordance with company policies. Complete all required company, insurance, and government paperwork accurately, including delivery tickets, ABNs, and patient booklet receipts. Adhere to PPE procedures, infection control guidelines, and HIPAA regulations while assisting with quality improvement programs. Serve as a subject matter expert, conduct new hire training, and mentor team members. Handle escalated calls, identify root causes of service issues, and prepare reports for leadership. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel throughout the service area, and experience in a Medicare certified HME environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work-related construction, general manual labor, military and equipment repair, or maintenance skills
- Exact job experience in a Medicare certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license from state of residence
- One (1) year of work-related experience
- One (1) year of work-related experience plus Two (2) years exact job experience
- One (1) year of work-related experience plus Four (4) years exact job experience
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use
- Ability to utilize a personal computer and other office equipment
- Assist in pulling a patient with a weight of approximately 130 pounds to a sitting position
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
- Mental alertness to perform the essential functions of position
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours
- Requires travel throughout service area and use of personal vehicles
- Must be able to access the patient's residence as needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and availability for extended hours when required
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with internal and external customers with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy
