Job Summary
Perform respiratory care in all patient settings, including advanced ventilator management, intubation, and ECMO ramping for adults and neonates. Manage the Respiratory Evaluation Protocol Program and act as a preceptor for residents, nurses, and students in pulmonary medicine. Maintain at least one intubation per quarter with a 90% success rate, while documenting charges and submitting work lists by shift end. Requires RRT licensure, NBRC registry, and Ohio RCP. Full-time night rotation with weekend and holiday coverage. Sign-on bonus of $30,000 for external candidates with a two-year commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
- ACLS if performing intubations
- NBRC registry or RRT
- RCP licensure in Ohio
- 3-4 years experience in a related field
- Must do at least one intubation per quarter
- Must maintain a total of six intubations per year
- Must maintain a 90% success rate over a year period
- Must repeat an OR if success rate is below 90%

- Preceptor in the clinical training of residents, nurses, and students in the advanced practice of pulmonary medicine and therapeutic procedures
- Respiratory Evaluation Protocol Program
- Specialist in ventilator management and critical care for adults and neonates
- Specialist in recommending, initiating and performing specialized clinical procedures to help diagnose, treat and/or improve patient situations
- First-line adult or neonatal intubation
- Transport of newborns
- Full Time Night
- Rotates Weekends and Holidays
