Job Summary
Document all procedures and perform daily processing, assembly, and testing of respiratory care equipment for all age groups. Repair and maintain equipment, including identifying items needing calibration for delivery to Bio Medical Engineering. Transport compressed gas cylinders to patient areas and assist respiratory care team members with equipment movement and supply inventory. Maintain a clean work area, store supplies neatly, and par stock respiratory care supplies per department policies. Provide assistance to therapists as requested and may aid in tracking or repairing equipment. Requires current enrollment in a respiratory therapist program and high school diploma. Hourly rate ranges from $17.69 to $23.08. Reports to Manager of Respiratory Care.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to use effective communication skills both written and oral in completing job assignments and/or paperwork.
- Must be able to follow both written and oral directives and comply with any hospital and departmental policy.
- Position also requires accuracy in checking, posting, counting, performing technical procedures, and interpretation of instrumentation.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current enrollment in a respiratory therapist program required.
Desired Qualifications
- One year of previous work experience or educational training in a health care setting preferred, but not required.
