Job Summary
Plans and administers respiratory care functions in assigned clinical area. Provides patient care per department guidelines, communicates patient status and updates plan of care each shift, and collaborates with multidisciplinary team. Maintains documentation and charges/credits in electronic records, adheres to aseptic technique and universal precautions, participates in orientation of new staff/students, and supports cross-coverage. Night shift with a 12/36 schedule (6 PM–6:30 AM). Must be a graduate of a CoARC-accredited program with CRT and CA RCP credentials, BLS, and NRP; NICU experience and NBRC RTC/RRT preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - The National Board for Respiratory Care
- California Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) - Respiratory Care Board of CA
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Various-Employee provides certificate
