Respiratory Care Practitioner – Sharp Chula Vista – Night Shift – Per Diem

Plans and administers respiratory care functions and duties to identified patient population across multiple clinical areas. Communicates patient status and responses to the healthcare team; consistently updates plan of care; participates in patient care rounds and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Maintains accurate documentation in patient records; achieves timely charges/credits and adheres to department guidelines. Provides respiratory care in assigned areas, adheres to aseptic technique and universal precautions, and ensures patient safety. May participate in orientation of new staff/students; provides care with consideration of patient age, culture, and psychosocial needs; may include bronchoscopy assistance, bedside pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas sampling, and other diagnostic testing as assigned. Time management, adaptability to changing workloads, and willingness to take on additional assignments are expected. May include general floor care and coverage as needed; supports the Sharp experience in delivering high-quality patient care.
