Job Summary

Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) role providing advanced respiratory care across critical care and emergency settings, including ventilator management (invasive and noninvasive), ABG sampling, airway management, and sedation support. Key duties cover initiating IV access within scope, intubation/ventilation setup and monitoring, managing BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen, performing comprehensive respiratory assessments and documenting outcomes, supporting rapid response and code events, and maintaining infection control and device calibration. Requires licensure as an RRT/CRT, associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment; ER/ICU experience preferred and strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
  • State-specific licenses: IL, MO, OK, WI or eligibility to practice in those states
  • BLS Healthcare Provider (AHA)
  • NBRC registration as RRT
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner license (IDFPR for IL; MO; OK; WI)
  • Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education
  • Ability to work in high-acuity clinical environments
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Emergency response experience preferred (rapid response, code events)
